The Chams or Cham people are an ethnic group of Austronesian origin in Southeast Asia. Their contemporary population is concentrated between the Kampong Cham Province in Cambodia and Phan Rang–Tháp Chàm, Phan Thiết, Ho Chi Minh City and An Giang Province in Southern Vietnam. Their religion stems from Islamic teachings but is it’s own sect just how being Baptist is different than being Protestant.
• Their weddings usually last 3 days long (we only attended the final day) not including the reception part which had been celebrated months prior to give the family some time between the two ceremonies.
